open this GIF it doesnt like to work unless it massive - so OPEN IT
I made an ice sculpture of my face from a cast I made during my FAD. I wanted to experiment with the use of materials that deteriorate over time.

SCAN MA FACE

I wanted to look more into the idea of distortion thought I'd do a few experiments using a scanner. (similar to Jenny Saville kinda)

SOME HOW THIS IS MY EYES ABOVE
THESE ARE ALSO MY EYES.. WHICH LOOK BLUE
AND ME CASUALLY MAKING OUT WITH THE SCANNER.

PRETTY PLEASED I GOT THIS SCANNER ON EBAY. ITS NOT BAD.
I'M OBSESSED BY CAPITALS ATM. SOZ

Also these kinda remind me of Pipilotti rist

I think I must sub-consciously like the colour blue. Although it would be the water thing making the images blueyer I guess.
But yeh lots of BLUE.
Quick experimentation with distorting the image on my tv - fiddling with the Ariel thingybob.

These have a similar outcome to her paintings. Although I'd also like to experiment with painting - rather than just taking photographs of a bad picture on tv.

Jens Hesse

I found these images and thought they were similar to the idea of running water over the top of images. I'd really like to experiment more with distortion.
Looking at painting, and possibly photo emulsion

I found this when taking a walk in Hampstead over christmas.

I really loved the imprint from the leaves on the floor - almost as though they were leaving traces behind. (Ignore my shoes in the bottom of the image)
Also while I was there.. I took a few pictures of ma face.

With the flash off the image came out really dark although with it they looked slightly over exposed and flattened the image a tad.
So I decided to 'dive in' and experiment with some underwater images.

At first I decided to focus on just the water and trying to create movement:

The camera under the tap

Turned the flash off - theres a plug. (Y)

Some more running water - experimenting with different settings on the camera.

I took far too many most of them look pretty much the same but thats a selection of the images I took.
I also found some lovely images on Tumblr, so the artists are unknown..
